Overview
Description
Coming Soon! Purchased in April 2024 by Northumberland Wildlife Trust (NWT), this 83-hectare site has previously been managed mostly for grass for the equestrian industry. Earsdon West Forest is close to NWT's existing network of nature reserves in the Druridge Bay landscape, and furthers the organisation's ability to deliver nature’s recovery at scale in the landscape. The vision for the site is to restore native species-rich grasslands, woodlands, and hedgerows where nature can thrive. The proximity to other reserves means that we will be able to deliver increased landscape-connectivity for wildlife. Please note, this site straddles the boundary of two National Character Areas and units are available for purchase in both South East Northumberland Coastal Plain and Mid Northumberland. For more information, send an enquiry through the Marketplace, or visit nwt.org.uk/bng
